IMMIGRATION & ASYLUM ADVICE

The Immigration Unit offers specialist advice and assistance in asylum, immigration, human rights and nationality law, as well as immigration related European law.

We prioritise asylum work, especially unaccompanied children, and assisting clients who are particularly vulnerable or facing removal from the UK.

Clients can approach us directly but are also referred to us by MPs, community groups, other agencies and social services.

We can give you immigration and nationality law advice about:

  • Visa applications and appeals against refusal of visas
  • Extending your permission to stay in the UK
  • Applying to stay permanently in the UK
  • Appeals against refusal of permission to remain
  • The rights of European nationals and their family members
  • How to become a British citizen

We can give you asylum and refugee status advice about:

  • Applying for asylum
  • Support and accommodation for asylum seekers
  • Asylum and human rights appeals
  • Applications for further permission to stay in the UK
  • Applications for family members to join you in the UK

If you think you may be affected by any of the above issues the Law Centre might be able to help you. Please phone us on 020 8969 7473 for an appointment.
